Rice
Rice (Oryza Sativa) is the dietary staple of more than half of the world`s population, making it the most consumed cereal grain. It contributes more food energy and protein per hectare than any other cereal. International Trade in rice is around 27 million metric tons, of which nearly 85% is imported into African and Asian countries.

Sorghum
Sorghum (Sorghum Bicolor) is used for food, fodder and the production of alcoholic beverages. It's an important food crop and the fifth most important cereal crop grown in the world. Sorghum is uniquely adapted to Africa's climate, and in terms of tonnage, is the continent's second most important cereal.

Green Gram
Green Gram (Phaseolus Aureus) is widely used in Indian, Chinese and South Eastern cuisine.

Chick Peas
Chick pea (Cicer Arietinum) is a food crop and commercial commodity in great demand in the Middle East and the Indian subcontinent.

Cow Peas
Cowpea (VignaUnguiculata) is one of the most important food legume crops in the semi-arid tropics covering Asia, Africa, southern Europe and Central and South America. A drought tolerant and warm weather crop, and cowpeas are welll-adapted to the drier regions of the tropics. Cowpea an important component of traditional intercropping systems, especially in the subsistence farming systems of the dry savannas in sub-Saharan Africa.

Soya
Soya Bean (Glycine Max) is an excellent source of natural protein in both quantity and quality. The fat from the soya bean is unsaturated and hence good for heart disease patients. Processed soya is available as milk, oil and meal.

Millet
Millet (PanicumMiliaceum) is one of the oldest foods known to humans and possibly the first cereal grain to be used for domestic purposes. Today millet ranks as the sixth most important grain in the world, sustains 1/3 of the world's population and is a significant part of the diet in China, Japan, various areas of the former Soviet Union, Africa, India, and Egypt. Millet is a major crop in many of these countries, particularly Africa and the Indian subcontinent.

Maize (Corn)
Maize (Zea Mays) is widely cultivated throughout Africa. White maize is a major staple food in Africa.

Pigeon Peas
Pigeon peas (CajanusCajan) can be considerabad both as a food crop (dried peas, flour, or green vegetable peas) and a forage / cover crop. Pigeon peas are very drought resistant and are grown in association with other row crops such as sorghum, millet and maize.

Black Gram
Black gram (Vigna Mungo) originated in India where it has been in cultivation from ancient times and is one of the most highly prized pulses of India. It has also been introduced to other tropical areas. It is the most nutritious of all pulses and is recommended for diabetics.

SAFE strives to add as much value to the agro commodities we produce through grading and processing thereby earning additional income and foreign exchange while creating sustainable employment opportunities in the sector.We have facilities or made arrangements to process Rice, Soya, Maize, and Pulses. Our processing facilities and methodology meet with stringent quality standards prescribed by various international governing bodies.
